Dinner with HelloFresh

This post is sponsored by HelloFresh but all thoughts, opinions, and adorable baby are of my own.

Imagine me loading up a 91 year old woman and a 9 month old baby to take a trip to the grocery store because that is what literally happens every other week. Sometimes I make a list, sometimes I don't, it is what it is. One of two things happen, I either forget an ingredient and I absolutely will not reload everyone back up for just one or two items, or I overbuy because why don't they sell fresh cilantro in sticks?? Like I do not need the whole thing, I need maybe a handful of leaves but that is it and I am done. I have even tried growing my own cilantro (remember my garden box? Yeah nothing survived).

That is where HelloFresh comes in, they provide you with all fresh ingredients AND they plan the recipes. That Pinterest board that you and I have overflowing of recipes we have never tried, yeah well now you can try new recipes without worrying about finding one and than having to shop for the ingredients.

So they plan the recipe, find fresh ingredients and they ship it straight to your door. All that is left is cooking it and it typically takes 30 minutes or less with their easy to follow instructions. Let's just say this momma was overjoyed to be able to partner with them and try out a food subscription box.

Even Sophia was loving these meals and if you practice baby led weaning like us, it's even easier because you don't have to worry about going to the store to buy those jars of baby food or even pureeing them yourself, there is no extra prep involved. If you wanna know more of why we love baby-led weaning, just let me know and I will do a separate post.

The Italian meatloaf was by far our favorite recipe! The flavors of everything went together so perfectly. I did tweak the mashed potato recipe to fit my usual recipe just because we really love my recipe.

When I was making our final meal from HelloFresh, I really enjoyed learning how to make a sauce as I have been experimenting with my own by making buttery wine sauces so it was really cool to learn a new technique for sauce making!

So whether you are short on time, need inspiration in the kitchen or just too lazy to go to the store, you should give HelloFresh a try and if you use the code stormie35 you will receive $35 off your first box (for new customers only).
