Although I must admit, we only spent about $100 on this room. How? Everything was gifted or was purchased with gift cards or monetary gifts Sophia received from our baby showers, Christmas and her first birthday. So my biggest advice for anyone designing a nursery or a toddler room is to save up those gift cards and monetary gifts to be used where actually needed. Sophia has plenty of toys and clothes that she is gifted throughout the year that we rarely need to spend any of those monetary gifts on those items.
I hope you guys enjoy this peek into our home as this is a room I truly love spending time in and I enjoyed every minute designing it and styling it.
The gallery wall was definitely one of those decisions that was just finalized as I did not initially envision one in here but I am so glad and am in love with how it looks in here. You can find me sitting in the rocking chair just admiring it throughout the day.

I love having handmade items featured throughout our house but I love even more the time I took to create this fabric kites using my grandmother's vintage cloths. The quilt is another handmade item that we ordered from an Etsy shop. Unfortunately she is no longer taking orders.
This book stack is sentimental to me as the bottom three are all from when I was a little girl. The Winnie the Pooh book was a birthday gift for Sophia and the Fox and the Star book was a baby shower gift for her. We actually requested everyone bring books instead of greeting cards and most people were gracious enough to accommodate and helped start Sophia's library before she was even born. So far she is proving to be a bookworm like her momma and I couldn't be more proud.
When I first shared my fabric kite tutorial, I mentioned we added an unusual art piece to the nursery and that was this beautiful periodic table of elements that my father-in-law ordered online. Funny story, the day after he made the order, another element was added so this periodic table is now outdated but we love it anyways. I love how the colors pull everything together in the nursery and Sophia can be found pointing at it often. When grandpa comes over, he will even go over the elements with her.
Again, I am completely in love with this space and can spend all day in here. I literally did for a few months before I finally forced myself to go to other parts of the house. Sophia even loves playing in her room and can be found playing in there quietly by herself. And please feel free to pin and share this room on your social media, we are so proud of how it turned out!
