DIY Wood & Wire Photo Display

Hey guys! This project has been a long time coming. I have had it in my mind for a over a year, we also had all the materials probably before I even wanted to create this photo display. I love the fact that we can change out these photos as often or as little as we want. Originally, I intended to hang photos of Anthony and I on these but now that Little Love is coming and our baby shower is at the end of the month, I knew this display would be perfect to showcase our ultrasounds especially at the baby shower. Of course, this photo display is even more perfect now because we can interchange photos of Little Love as she grows because lets get real, it'll be all about her.

This project was super easy and didn't take long at all. We used salvaged wood from our fence, photo hanging wire, eye hole screws and a sawtooth hanger as our materials. We had all these on hand already so the project didn't cost us anything but time, well my husbands time as he put it together for me. I could have easily done it but I like to play the damsel in distress (shhh). Anywho, all he did was cut down the salvaged wood to the size we wanted and than he sanded down the entire surfaces and edges. On the back, he nailed down a sawtooth hanger and than he screwed in the eye hole screws on the front side, one on each end and attached the hanging wire to each screw by wrapping it around the eye hole. Easy enough! Than the fun part came in hanging it on the wall in our entryway.

I was also able to get him to finally move our console table inside and played with different displays (its a work in progress). I am in love with this wood and wire display and can't believe we didn't do this sooner. Just imagine all the possibilities: you could display childrens' photos, childrens artwork, Christmas cards and so much more. I hope you gain inspiration to create a photo display to your liking!
